Earlier, the Lady Raiders trounced the Lady Cats 65-49 at the Joe Frank Patch Memorial Gymnasium.
Lake Elam’s layup with 2:40 to go in the fourth period tied the score at 40-40. Moments later Elam sank a free throw to put Coffee County ahead for the first time of the night.
Less than a minute later Lucas Crismond added a field goal, and Elam sank two more free throws. Anthony Jackson added a critical blocked shot on a Wildcat’s fast break, and Addison Carter iced the CHS lead by sinking two more free throws with 6.7 seconds to go.
In the girls’ tilt, Alaina Lusk and Ginny Clayborne led in scoring with 23 and 18, respectively.
