Pocahontas Music Night is at 5 p.m. Every Thursday at the community center – 1940 Pocahontas Rd. Morrison, Tenn. It is open to all musicians and singers. All proceeds go to the center. Call Ray at 615-765-7835 for more information.

Little Squirts swimming lessons @ Manchester Recreation Complex
Feb 16 @ 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm

Little Squirts is a swim lesson program designed to teach toddlers swimming and water safety skills. The program will start on Thursday, Dec. 1 and end on Tuesday, Feb. 28. No registration is required. Classes are offered every Monday and Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., and every Tuesday and Thursday from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Cost is $3 per class for members of the recreation complex and $5 for non-members.

This madcap comedy centers on George and Charlotte Hay, fading stars of the 1950’s. On the brink of a disastrous split-up caused by George’s flirtation with a young actress, they receive word that they might just have one last shot at stardom. Unfortunately for George and Charlotte, everything that could go wrong does go wrong, helped by a visit from their daughter’s clueless fiancé and uncertainty about which play they’re actually performing, caused by Charlotte’s deaf old stage-manager mother who hates every bone in George’s body. Warning: mild languale that may be unsuitable for children.

Franklin County Chamber Casino Night @ National Guard Armory

The Franklin County Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Casino Night on Saturday, February 18 at the National Guard Armory, 313 Wilton Circle, Winchester, Tennessee, from 6pm to 10pm.

Casino Night is open to the public, and tickets are on sale now at the Chamber for $50 per person. Each attendee will receive two free drinks and $10,000 in casino chips to gamble and bid on prize packages with. Gambling tables will include: Craps, Roulette, Texas Hold-em, and Blackjack.

The theme of the evening will be the “Roaring Twenties” with a Great Gatsby feel. Prizes will be awarded for the best dressed flapper and fella.

Shady Grove chili supper @ Shady Grove Community Center

Chili fundraiser: Shady Grove Community Center Chili and Soup Supper fundraiser will be at 6 p.m., Feb. 18 with musical entertainment before and after the meal. Donations accepted at door with proceeds going towards upkeep of building.  The center is located at 5261 Shady Grove Road, Morrison.
