Tullahoma Sangha, a Zen Buddhist meditation and study group, will meet every Wednesday from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Unitarian Universalist Church of Tullahoma. The service consists of zazen (meditation), kinhin (walking meditation), and a short lesson and discussion. Newcomers are welcome and asked to call ahead for a short lesson and orientation at 5:45 p.m. before the service.
Pocahontas Music Night is at 5 p.m. Every Thursday at the community center – 1940 Pocahontas Rd. Morrison, Tenn. It is open to all musicians and singers. All proceeds go to the center. Call Ray at 615-765-7835 for more information.
Library benefit: A screening of the film “Manchester 1951” narrated in 1990 by Grady York will be held at 6 p.m., April 20 at the Church @ 117, on East Fort Street to benefit the Coffee County Manchester Public Library. Admission is $5 or $10 with a DVD copy of the film. Children admission is free. Soda and popcorn will be served. RSVP by texting (931) 224-5962. The event is held by the Anderson family in memory of Helen and Kenneth Anderson.
The Community Market Meet, a fundraiser for Partners for Healing and Haven of Hope, will be from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 22 at the parking lot of the Manchester-Coffee County Conference Center. There will be hand-crafted items, antiques, household goods, clothing and shoes, vendor items and food. The event is hosted by the conference center and the Mid TN Original .50 Cent Auction Group on Facebook.
Lunch will be at 12 pm followed by more wonderful singing featuring The Eddie Fuston Family and the Mel-O-Tones.
