Gospel concert in Tullahoma
Sep 22 @ 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm

A Gospel concert by Ed and Ruth Voosen will be held at 6 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 22 at First Christian Church, 120 W. Grundy St. in Tullahoma. Songs will include folk and traditional country, show tunes and sing-a-longs for all ages to sing. The concert will take place on the loading doc of the church Annex (the old post office building).  Organizers invite you to bring lawn chairs and enjoy the music under the stars.  Should the weather not cooperate, the concert will be moved inside to the Sanctuary.  All are welcome.

Jamie Harden’s “Ultimate Oldies Show” will be held Sept. 16-18, 23-25 at the Manchester Arts Center. Shows are at 7 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, Sundays at 2 p.m. Tickets are on sale now for $20, and usually sell out before the show. Sheriff’s Department Fishing Tournament @ Barton Springs Boat Ramp at Normandy Lake

The Coffee County Sheriff’s Department is inviting everyone to its 18th Annual Fishing Tournament to benefit needy children for Coffee County at Christmas.

It takes place Saturday Sept. 24 from 7 a.m. until noon at the Barton Springs Boat Ramp at Normandy Lake.

Entry fee is $10 per person

Last year’s event was a success and the department have helped a lot of kids that would not have had a Christmas at all if it had not been for the kind of generous people that participated in the event.

Trophies to be given in each category will be: Bass; 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places, Crappie;  1st, 2nd  and 3rd places, Bream; 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places and a first place prize for biggest fish caught by a kid.

Tickets may be purchased at the Coffee County Jail at 300 Hillsboro Blvd, or at the boat ramp the morning of the tournament, or by calling 728-3591.
