Mayor’s Cup Charity Basketball Game @ Westwood Middle School
Feb 2 @ 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm

The Mayor’s Cup will feature the Manchester Police Department defending their title against the Manchester Fire Department and City Schools employees in a charity basketball game – beginning at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 2 at Westwood Middle School.

 

Admission – donations of any size that will be given to Coffee County Children’s Advocacy Center.

Little Squirts swimming lessons @ Manchester Recreation Complex
Feb 6 @ 10:30 am – 11:30 am

Little Squirts is a swim lesson program designed to teach toddlers swimming and water safety skills. The program will start on Thursday, Dec. 1 and end on Tuesday, Feb. 28. No registration is required. Classes are offered every Monday and Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., and very Tuesday and Thursday from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Cost is $3 per class for members of the recreation complex, and $5 for non-members.

Bird club meeting @ Moore County Building, Lynchburg

Tennessee Ornithological Society:  Highland Rim Chapter to meet Tuesday, February 7, at the Moore County Building in Lynchburg.  The business meeting will start at 6 pm with light refreshments at 6:30 and a talk at 7:00, “Wine Making,” by Kerry Syler.  Also, the Great Backyard Bird Count will be held February 17-20, and the Woodcock Courtship Display Field Trip is planned for February 21.  Details of both will be discussed at the February 7 meeting.  Visitors are welcome.  For directions or carpool information contact club president Lisa Trail at 728-6045.
