Chili Fundraiser: North Coffee Volunteer Fire Department will hold an all-you-can-eat chili and beef stew fundraiser from 4:30-6:30 p.m., March 4 at the Noah Community Center. Meals are $7 for adults or $3 for children 12 and under and carryout bowls are available. Also at the event will be live music, a cakewalk and auction. The NCVFD needs cakes and pies for the cakewalk.
Manchester Coffee County Senior Center Potluck is every Monday with doors opening at 5 p.m. and music starting at 6 p.m. Tickets are $2. Call 931-728-8288 for more information.
Tennessee Ornithological Society: Highland Rim Chapter to meet Tuesday, March 7 at the First Presbyterian Church of Fayetteville. The business meeting will commence at 6 pm with light refreshments at 6:30 and a talk at 7:00 by Archaeologist Travis Rael. Also, on March 25 at Tims Ford State Park, there will be birding activities starting at 10 am at the park Visitor’s Center, and lasting all day until an evening owl prowl. Tullahoma Sangha, a Zen Buddhist meditation and study group, will meet every Wednesday from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Unitarian Universalist Church of Tullahoma. The service consists of zazen (meditation), kinhin (walking meditation), and a short lesson and discussion. Newcomers are welcome and asked to call ahead for a short lesson and orientation at 5:45 p.m. before the service.
Political meeting: Indivisible, the nationwide group, organized to resist the Trump agenda in Congress will have its Coffee County meeting at 5 p.m., Wednesday March 15 at Gondola Steak & Pizza in Tullahoma. The meeting proper starts at 6 p.m.
Pocahontas Music Night is at 5 p.m. Every Thursday at the community center – 1940 Pocahontas Rd. Morrison, Tenn. It is open to all musicians and singers. All proceeds go to the center. Call Ray at 615-765-7835 for more information.
