Coffee County Young Sportsman Deer Rally: Coffee County Wildlife Officer, Tim Hancock and sponsors would like to invite all eligible hunters (ages 6-16) who participate in the statewide Young Sportsman Deer Hunt to the eighth annual Coffee County Young Sportsman Deer Rally from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Oct. 27 at the Coffee County Fairgrounds. Admission is free for all events, including lunch served beginning at 10 a.m. Successful hunters can check in their harvest at the event to be entered into a contest. Vendors will be set up to exhibit the latest in hunting outdoor products. The Manchester and Coffee County Senior Center hosts a $6.50 breakfast on the second Saturday of every month – all ages are welcome. All money will benefit the senior center. For more information, contact Diane at 931-723-8288

Hickerson Elementary School will host its 2nd annual Hickerson Hustle events at 8 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 14. The event consists of a 5k and a separate obstacle course this year. Funds raised will benefit the basketball court and playground to ensure children have an adequate play space.
Donations are being accepted for the Senior Citizens’ bingo night at this meeting. Please bring an unwrapped gift (toiletries, socks, etc.).

“Hocus Pocus” (rated PG) will begin at 7 p.m. outside behind East Coffee Elementary. No outside food or coolers will be allowed since this is a fundraiser for the school. The movie however is free and the event is open to the community.

The third annual Boo Run Run will be Oct. 14. Registration is $35 and includes post race entertainment. Race registration includes shirt, one drink ticket, food and music.
