Pocahontas Community Center Music Night @ Pocahontas Community Center

Meet and Greet with Tennessee State Senator Mark Green, District 22 Thursday December 1, 2016 from 5:30-7:30 at Emma’s Restaurant off Exit 110 of I-24. Senator Green is an American physician and politician currently serving in the Tennessee Senate. Prior to running for office, Senator Green founded and served as the CEO of Align MD a healthcare emergency medicine staffing company. Before serving as CEO of Align MD Dr. Green was a member of the US Army. He served as an emergency medicine physician in Operation Red Dawn, which saw the capture of Saddam Hussein. Dr. Green sat with Hussein for the first 24 hours of his capture, and interrogated him for six hours. Seating is limited please RSVP 931-450-2147. Meal will be Dutch treat. Hosted by Rep. Little Squirts swimming lessons @ Manchester Recreation Complex

Little Squirts is a swim lesson program designed to teach toddlers swimming and water safety skills. The program will start on Thursday, Dec. 1 and end on Tuesday, Feb. 28. No registration is required. Classes are offered every Monday and Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., and every Tuesday and Thursday from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Cost is $3 per class for members of the recreation complex and $5 for non-members.

Ugliest Sweater Run/Walk @ Downtown Mancheter

The Manchester Recreation Department is sponsoring an ugly sweater run/walk (5K) at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3 before the annual Manchester Christmas parade. Prize will be awarded for ugliest sweater. Register by Nov. 22. Call 931-728-0273.

Christmas Parade @ Manchester

The City of Manchester’s annual Christmas Parade will be at 7 p.m. – starting at the intersection of Highway 41/55, traveling North on Hwy. 41 and turning onto N. Spring Street to go across the downtown square. Lineup for the parade begins at 6.

 

There is also an Ugly Sweater 5K race at 6 p.m. and carolers begin singing at 6 p.m.
