Christmas musical: Jingle in the City @ First Baptist Church

Manchester First Baptist Church presents “Jingle in the City,” a Christmas musical for the entire family. Admission is free. Come experience the story of a group of orphans in 1942 in New York City, who, while searching for a home, find the real meaning of home in knowing Jesus Christ.

Little Squirts swimming lessons @ Manchester Recreation Complex
Dec 12 @ 10:30 am – 11:30 am

Little Squirts is a swim lesson program designed to teach toddlers swimming and water safety skills. The program will start on Thursday, Dec. 1 and end on Tuesday, Feb. 28. No registration is required. Classes are offered every Monday and Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., and very Tuesday and Thursday from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Cost is $3 per class for members of the recreation complex, and $5 for non-members.

Cookie decoration event @ Mercantile/Sweet Simplicity Bakery

Bring out the kids for a fun evening decorating Christmas cookies! Price is $20/plus tax and children must be pre-registered for this event. Each child will receive 12 cookies to decorate; 6 gingerbread and 6 sugar cookies. Space is limited so register today to guarantee your child’s spot.

Senior Center Potluck @ Coffee County Senior Citizens Center

Manchester Coffee County Senior Center Potluck is every Monday with doors opening at 5 p.m. and music starting at 6 p.m. Tickets are $2. Call 931-728-8288 for more information.

Senior’s live nativity @ Manchester Health Care Center

Manchester Heath Care Center will hold a live Nativity with its residents  at 3 p.m., Dec. 14.

Tullahoma Sangha @ Unitarian Universalist Church of Tullahoma
Dec 14 @ 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm

Tullahoma Sangha, a Zen Buddhist meditation and study group, will meet every Wednesday from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Unitarian Universalist Church of Tullahoma. The service consists of zazen (meditation), kinhin (walking meditation), and a short lesson and discussion. Newcomers are welcome and asked to call ahead for a short lesson and orientation at 5:45 p.m. before the service.

 

Meeting: Community Advisory Board

The Coffee County Community Advisory Board will meet December 14 2016 at 11:30 a.m.
Bring something to snack on and share and we will discuss our giving trees for the foster children, all are welcomed. A board meeting at 11 a.m. will precede the regular meeting at 11:30 a.m.. For more information contact Rosemary Crabtree at 931 455-6711.

Senior dinner @ manchester-coffee county conference center

Senior lunch: The Manchester Coffee County Conference Center, The Coffee County Funeral Chapel, and Manchester Funeral Home will sponsor a public lunch for seniors at Coffee County Central High School and seniors from Coffee County Senior Center. Members from both groups will be paired for lunch and fellowship from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Dec. 14 at the Manchester-Coffee County Conference Center, 147 Hospitality Blvd, Manchester, Tennessee 37355 The luncheon gives all Coffee County Seniors 55 and older the chance to visit and share stories with young adults leaving high school.
