Former Manchester woman killed, husband arrested

A former Manchester woman is dead and her husband in custody after an apparent homicide in Murfreesboro early Valentine’s morning.

Dead is Carla Pearman, 31, of Murfreesboro, formerly known as Carla Dillard, of Manchester. Behind bars is her husband Jacob Pearman, 28.

Jacob Pearman allegedly killed his wife at 839 Kanatak Lane near Blackman and fled to Manchester where he was apprehended at the Kangaroo gas station on Highway 55 near Interstate 24 exit 111.

According to WGNS radio in Murfreesboro, Jacob Pearman called his parents and left a “troubling message.” That led to a welfare check of the home where the victim was found dead in her bed.

According to WGNS, Jacob Pearman confessed to the murder and is being charged with murder in the first degree. A preliminary hearing will be held next week in Rutherford County…
