Coffee County had nine different players score on Saturday night, as the Lady Raiders shut down Grundy County 67-25 in Coalmont.

The Lady Raiders (19-2 overall) have now won three-straight games after suffering their only district loss of the season to Shelbyville on Jan. 15.

Coffee County held a slim 18-10 lead at the end of the first quarter, but followed with a 14-0 run to open the second quarter before ending the half ahead 41-14. Junior Abby Morgan scored all 14 of her points in the big first half.

As a team, the Lady Raiders drained a season-high nine 3-pointers on the night, while the defense allowed only two 3-pointers, which were both made by Teah Bosio.

Morgan, Jacey Vaughn and Morgan Jones each had a pair of 3-pointers.

Bosio led the way for Grundy County, finishing with 10 points.

Red Raiders 59, Grundy County 54

After a slow start, the Red Raiders overcame a slight deficit to edge Grundy County 59-54.

Grundy County led 10-7 after the first quarter, but a 20-point second quarter from Coffee County — 14 points by junior Darius Rozier and six by senior Garrett Booth — gave the Red Raiders a 27-22 advantage at halftime.

Coffee County (13-6 overall) would have three players finish in double figures, holding off a late rally attempt by the YellowJackets coming in the fourth quarter.

Rozier led the Red Raiders with 20 points on five made 3-pointers,  while Booth and De’Aaron Rozier each scored 11 points.

For Grundy County, Trey Hampton led the team with 20 points on three 3-pointers, and Noah Bean added 16 points.
