HIGH SCHOOL GOLF: Cookeville edges Red Raiders

Despite a solid round, the Coffee County Central High School golf team dropped its first match of the season to Cookeville, falling 306-296 on Tuesday at the Cookeville Country Club.

Junior Samuel Prater broke even par on the day, shooting a 1-under-par 69 to lead the Red Raiders (1-1).

Austin Farris finished with a 75, Reid Lawrence carded an 80, Matthew Hale scored an 82 and Josh Perry ended the round with an 88.
