The Coffee County Central High School golf team, playing in its first District 8-AAA match of the season, squared off with rival Franklin County at Willowbrook Golf Course.
The Red Raiders prevailed for a 148-158 nine-hole victory of the Rebels.
Junior Samuel Prater was one of two golfers to break even par. Prater carded a 1-under-par 35, while Franklin County’s Jonathon Liggett finished 2-under to lead all golfers on the day.
Reid Lawrence fired a 37 (+1), Austin Farris and Josh Perry both finished with a 38 (+2) and Matthew Hale carded a 39 (+39).
