Troy Lynn King, 41, was indicted by the March term of the Coffee County grand jury for first-degree murder, felony murder and theft over $1,000. U.S. Marshal’s Service arrested him without incident on March 6 in Imperial Beach, Calif. on the charges.

King is accused of the Nov. 13, 2012 slaying of 41-year-old Thomas Colucci at his residence on Maple Springs Road.

Colucci’s body was found after his girlfriend, Connie King, Troy King’s estranged wife, ran to the roadway asking for help. At the time she stated that someone broke into the residence and shot Colucci and beat her up. She told sheriff’s investigators that the assailant then left in Colucci’s vehicle, which was later found in the Manchester area.

According to sheriff’s Capt. Frank Watkins, investigators developed information that pointed to King as the person in question.

The investigation into the murder is continuing, according to Sheriff Steve Graves.
