MANCHESTER, Tenn. — Two days after defeating Harris Middle School 32-13 on eighth grade night, the Coffee County Middle School girls’ basketball team will host North Franklin on Monday in its regular-season finale (3:30 p.m.).
If the Lady Raiders (16-2 overall), winners of eight-straight games, defeat the Gatorettes, then they will be the No. 1 seed throughout this week’s Central Conference Tournament, and will face South Franklin on Tuesday, Jan. 23 (4:30 p.m.) at Coffee County Middle School.
If North Franklin wins this afternoon, it will be face South, and Coffee County will begin the CTC tournament against Harris on Tuesday at 5:45 p.m.
Coffee County held a 17-9 lead entering the fourth quarter, but Marley Perry scored 10 of the team’s 15 points, as the Lady Raiders ended up winning by double digits.
Perry ended with a team-high 14 points, and Kiya Ferrell finished with double figures as well, scoring 12 points.
Pandora Keele led Harris with four points.

Harris 32, Red Raiders 24
Connor Shemwell’s 17 points wouldn’t be enough, as the Red Raiders fell to Harris 32-24 on Saturday night.
The Red Raiders (4-12 overall) will enter the CTC conference tournament as either the sixth or seventh seed, depending on this afternoon’s results against North Franklin.
A win over North Franklin means that Coffee County’s CTC tournament begins on Tuesday against West Tullahoma (7 p.m.). Should the Red Raiders lose, they will face North this Thursday at 5:45 p.m. All tournament games will be played at Coffee County Middle School.
Shemwell scored all 16 points for Coffee County in the first half, a half the Red Raiders led 16-13.
But Harris outscored the Red Raiders 12-2 in the third quarter, which proved to be the difference as the Eagles held off any rally.
Kade Cunningham led Harris in scoring with 12 points.
