Mrs. Burks was born in Manchester, TN, the daughter of the late Johnnie and Lorene Phillips Reed. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Hale passed away on Tuesday, June 29 at Middle Tennessee Medical Center. Mrs. Hale was born in Manchester, TN, the daughter of Anita Gray and the late Johnny Gray, who passed away in 2008. She was a cosmetologist and a homemaker. She was a 1983 graduate of Coffee County High School. In addition to her mother, Mrs. Hale is survived by her husband, Glenn Hale, daughters, Jenna Lovelady, Kristen Lovelady, Hanna Lovelady, Lexie Hale, and Bunny Hale; sons, Dalton Hale, Forrest Hale, and Isaac Hale; one brother, John Gray; and one sister, Shelley Thomison. HALE, Susie Gray, age 45, passed away Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at Middle Tennessee Medical Center. Susie was born June 23, 1965 in Manchester to the late Johnny and Anita Gray. She is survived by her mother, Anita Gray; her husband, Glenn Hale; Five daughters Jenna, Kristen and Hannah Lovelady, Lexie and Miriah Hale; One son Isaac Hale; 2 Step-sons Dalton and Forrest Hale; Two special nieces Christy Watkins (Troy) and Brittany Gray; and One nephew Devin Messick. Glenn and Susie had adopted three foster children and she was an organ donor. The funeral was July 3, 2010 at Manchester Funeral Home with Bennie Benjamin officiating. SPENCE, "Sonny" Ernest Mack Jr, age 63, of Christiana died from injuries sustained in an automobile accident on July 1, 2010. He was a native of Rutherford County and the son of the late Ernest Mack and Ophelia Powell Spence, Sr. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Terry H. and David Spence. Memorial services were 3:00 pm Saturday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Albert Nelson officiating. He is survived by his daughter, Angela (Nash) Legrand of Mt. Juliet, son, Andy (Rachel) Spence of Hermitage, brothers, Bill Spence of Christiana, Mitchell Spence of Murfreesboro, George Spence of Rockvale, sisters, Jo Miller of Shelbyville, Martha Osborne of Murfreesboro, Annette Rigney of Fosterville, Beverly Bevil of Blackman, grandchildren, Troy Spence and Emily Legrand, sister-in-law, Carolyn Spence, dear friends, Brad and Becky Muse and their children, and 63 other immediate relatives. Sonny was a graduate of Christiana High School and a self employed handyman. THOMPSON, Bertha Louise, 85, died on July, 3, 2010 at Glen Oaks Convalescent and Rehabilitation Center in Shelbyville, Tennessee. WILSON, Mildred, age 91 of Manchester, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, June 30, 2010. She was born on February 18, 1919 in Coffee County, Tennessee to her parents, the late Ernest Hubert Posey and Lou Renna Townsend. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Wilson; son, Melvin Wilson; granddaughter, Sharon Sims; sisters, Lena Galambos, Earlene Pomeroy, Ida Mae Watson, Opal Harpole and Etta Porch; and son-in-law, Robert Lee Parker. She will be fondly remembered as a hard worker who dearly loved her family, enjoyed reading, crocheting and getting up early at dawn to garden or do vegetable and fruit canning. She was a member of the Goosepond Methodist Church. She is survived by her daughters, Wilma Jean Parker of Manchester, TN and Virgie Mae Crawford and her husband Ken of Manchester, TN; sister, Kathy Ignoffo and her husband Joe of Chicago, Illinois; two grandsons, Gary Jernigan and wife Lynn of Murfreesboro, TN and Greg Wilson and wife Sheila of Georgetown, TN; five great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation with the family was on Friday evening, July 2, 2010 from 5 - 8:00 p.m. The Funeral Service was conducted on Saturday, July 3, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Central Funeral Home with Brother Ralph Hart officiating.
