OPINION: Parent behavior is an embarrassment to county

A disturbing trend is developing in front of us. And it has to stop now before Manchester ends up on the Nashville news.

Friday night, in the second half of Coffee County’s game against Bradley Central, a disgruntled parent managed to find his way to the Coffee County sidelines and verbally squabble with a Coffee County football coach or two.

Embarassing, to say the least.

Dangerous, to state the obvious.

Unfortunately, it’s becoming the thing to do.

The same thing happened in the spring at a CHS freshman baseball game – a player parent tore through a gate and went straight for a coach. In this case, the parent actually put hands...
