Coffee County upsets Cookeville

Coffee County shocked Cookeville Friday night in Manchester.

Two weeks after losing to the Lady Cavaliers by 36 points in Cookeville, Coffee County Central High School’s lady Raiders extended their winning streak to four games with a 48-44 upset over District 6-AAA opponent Cookeville High School.

The Lady Raiders lost to the Lady Cavaliers 50-14 when the two teams last met on Jan. 19.

"We weren’t mentally or physically prepared last time," stated CHS senior Emily Morgan, who paced the Lady Raiders with 19 points Friday, including a perfect four-of-four at the free-throw line in the fourth quarter.
