Memorial services for Mrs. Jeannette Denise “Honey” Gilmer, age 92 of Hillsboro were conducted at 7 p.m., Monday, November 4 at the Manchester Funeral Home Chapel with Mrs. Melinda Ashburn as the eulogist. Also any of Mrs



Honey’s friends were given the opportunity to speak or tell a “Honey” story. Visitation for Mrs. Honey began at 4 p.m. Monday until service time. Mrs. Honey passed away Friday evening at the Centennial Medical Center in Nashville surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Honey was born in Serbia and immigrated with her family to the United States. She was a well-known character, and was loved by everyone she came in contact with.  Mrs. Honey was the longtime manager of the Cumberland Valley Shows and also enjoyed working as a poll worker at the Hillsboro voting site for many years. Her trademark was her many hats that she always wore, and was well known for her cooking and knitting scarves that became gifts for friends and strangers. She would always greet you with a kiss on the cheek, again for friends and strangers alike. If you ever crossed paths with Mrs. Honey, you would never forget her. Mrs Honey was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband, Earl Edward “Doc” Gilmer. She is survived by: her son and daughter in law- Allen and Kim Gilmer of Hillsboro; sister- Mrs. Mildred Winton of Manchester; brother- Mr. Joe Stevens of Florida; 2 grandchildren, Blake Gilmer and Witny Gilmer. Humphres, Roger Allen “Big Al”, age 57 of Manchester, Tennessee, passed away on October 28, 2013 at the Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville. Mr. Humphres was preceded in death by his parents, the late Grady Humphres and Velma Barnett Humphres. He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Susan Ratulowski Humphres of Manchester, TN; children, David K. Taylor (Melanie) of Arkansas, Mark A. Taylor of California and Cindy A. Taylor of Kentucky; sisters, Joy Ford, Linda Crawford, Diana Luna (Eddie) of Hillsboro, TN and Elaine Humphres of Ivy Bluff near Woodbury, TN; brothers, Dennis Humphres of Missouri,  Danny Humphres (Annette) of Estill Springs, TN and Richard A. Humphres of Manchester, TN; five grandchildren, Codey A. Taylor, Alex Tay-lor, Joshua Levinitski, Abby Taylor and Pagie Taylor; two great-grandchildren, Caden Taylor and Carenity Taylor; friends, Joseph & Suzy Robison,  Scott & Petie Kinard and Emily & Chris Kenny; and a host of other family and friends. Visitation was on Thursday evening, October 31, 2013 from 5-8 p.m. The funeral service was conducted at 1 p.m. on Friday, November 1, 2013. from the Chapel of Central Funeral Home with Brother Danny Anderson officiating. Anderson, Ruby Lee Brinkley Lemons , 86 of Morrison, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, October 27, 2013. Mrs. Anderson was a retired employee of Colonial Manufacturing in Manchester and was a member of the Manchester Church of God of Prphecy. She enjoyed fishing, watching Atlanta Braves Baseball and local ball games. She was preceded in death by her first husband, J.P. Lemons; parents, James Henry Brin-kley and Linda Lee Warren Brinkley; step-mother, Hazel Stubblefield Hamilton Brinkley Bell; sisters, Lucy Officer, Aline Grooms, Dessie Finchum, Georgia Brinkley and Alma Owens; brothers, James C. Brinkley L.H. Brinkley, Joe Ed Brin-kley, Henry Junior Brinkley, Henry Looney Brinkley and Lewis Brinkley; step-sisters, Lois Brewer and Donna McCuiston; and one step-son. Mrs. Anderson is survived by her husband, Bennett Anderson of Manchester, TN; children, Thurman Lemons (Geraldine) of Manchester, Barbara Jones (Vernon) of Morrison, Grady Lemons (Ellen) of Manchester, Louise Higgins (Charles) of Whitwell, TN and  Lois Caldwell of McMinnville, TN; one step-son and two step-daughters; sister, Rhonda Roberts (Russell) of Spring City, TN; brother Ronnie Hamilton; 15 grandchildren, Loria Bragg, Tammy Jones, David Jones, Mark Lemons, Eva Patterson, Sheila Haley, Tim Higgins, Pam Brown, Angie Holland, Jeff Lemons, Frank Higgins, Carol Lemons, Jason Lemons, Shannon Lamb and Amy Jones; 19 great-grandchildren; 7 step-great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and 10 step-great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Visitation was on Tuesday, October 29, 2013 from 12 p.m. (Noon) until 9 p.m. The funeral service was conducted at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 from the Chapel of Central Funeral Home with Bro. Mims, Annie N., age 70 of Manchester, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at the Life Care Center in Tul-lahoma.  Mrs. Sims was preceded in death by her sons, Randy Bradford and Denny Mims; grandson, Alan Hendrix; and parents, William Thomas Fanning and Biegie Maple Sanders Fanning. She is survived by her children, Kathy Bradford (Bobby) of Kingston Springs, TN,    Delton Mims (Donna) of Belvediere, TN  and Heather Mims of Estill Springs, TN; brother, William Thomas Fanning, Jr. (Lois) of Francisco, AL; sister, Pauline Bradford of Huntland, TN; four grandchildren, Melanie Fletcher of Tullahoma, Jerry “Bubba” Bradford of Tullahoma, Denny Mims, Jr. of Nashville and Emily Mims of Belvediere; several great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Wednesday, November 6, 2013. The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. on Wednesday from the Chapel of Central Funeral Home.
