Mrs. Jearlean B. Shelton, age 82, of Manchester, Tennessee passed from this life on Thursday, August 29, 2013 at Manchester Health Care Center. Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. on Saturday, August 31, 2013 at the Coffee County Funeral Chapel with Brother Bill Hall officiating. Funeral services for Mrs. Darlene Hamby Stoner, age 51, of Hillsboro, were conducted at 2 p.m. on Sunday, September 1, 2013 at Manchester Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Horace Lee Jacobs officiating. Burial followed in Hillsboro Memorial Cemetery. Visitation with the family was from 4-8 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Mrs. Stoner passed away Friday morning at Medical Center of Manchester. Darlene was born in Franklin Co., Tenn., daughter of the late Carl Hamby and Ruby Campbell Hamby, who survives. She was a homemaker and loved tending to her flowers in her yard. She loved spending time with her family, antiquing, and took great pride in raising her children. In addition to her father, Darlene was also preceded in death by a brother, Donnie Hamby; and a sister, Brenda Hamby. She is survived by her mother, Ruby Hamby of Hillsboro; her loving husband, Freddie Stoner of Hillsboro; one son, Tyler Stoner of Hillsboro; one daughter, Felicia (Jonathan) Gaither of Manchester; three brothers, Bobby, Scotty, and Gary Hamby, all of Hillsboro; and one sister. Mr. Landon Stanley, 76, of Smithville died August 29, 2013. He was born in Smithville, Tenn. on September 3, 1936. His parents were the late Robert Loyd Stanley and Sarah (Ferrell) Stanley. He was also preceded in death by a son, Charles Houston “Button” Stanley and a sister, Elizabeth Stanley. He is survived by his son, Jeff & Rebecca Stanley of Castilian Springs, Tenn; two daughters, Crystal & Dan Kuohn of Shelbyville and Deborah K. Mathis of Manchester; brother, Orgie Lee Stanley of Sparta; sisters, Barbara Tucker of Manchester, Josephine Butcher of McMinnville, Etta Williams of Murfreesboro and Jewel Dean Stanley; thirteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Mr. Stanley was a retired roofer for Home Roofing owned by Joe B. Jackson in Murfreesboro. He loved to play cards and shoot dice. He always had a joke to tell and loved to walk everywhere he went. He had hitchhiked all over the country. Visitation was held at Smith Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 from 10:30 a.m. – noon. Memorial services followed in the Smith Funeral Home chapel. Maryanne Douglass, 67, passed away in Geneseo, New York, Aug. 28, 2013. Maryanne was born in Cleveland, Ohio July 8, 1945. She was a substitute teacher for our local schools and dearly loved her students. She fostered multiple dogs and cats for the Coffee County Humane Society who were all adopted. Her fellow teachers, students and Coffee County Humane Society volunteers will greatly miss her. Many thanks to her cousin Holly Harvey who took care of her at her home in Geneso, New York since October, 2012. Maryanne’s three dogs will live out their lives at Holly’s home. Funeral services for Mrs. Siba Brandon, age 93 of Manchester will be conducted at 2 p.m., Wednesday, September 4 at the Manchester Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bob Case officiating. Burial will follow in the Beechgrove Cemetery. Visitation with the Brandon family was from 4-9 p.m., Tuesday, September 3 at Manchester Funeral Home. Mrs. Brandon passed away Saturday afternoon at her home surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Brandon was born in Coffee County, Tennessee the daughter of the late Ben McCollough and Mattie Floyd McCollough. She was a faithful member of the Beechgrove Cumberland Presbyterian Church and enjoyed gardening, cooking, quilting and canning. Mrs. Brandon was retired from Batesville Casket Company in Manchester, where she worked for 20 years. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Brandon was also preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Brandon, by one son, John Brandon, 2 grandsons, Ricky Dale Harmon and Donnie Harmon, by a daughter in law, Frances Brandon, and by 12 brothers and sisters. Mrs. Brandon is survived by: five children, Eunice (Clayton) Harmon of Manchester; Geraldine (Eddie) Adcock of Manchester; Joyce (Bobby) Trail of Beech Grove; Raymond Brandon, Jr of Manchester and Randall (Bonnie) Brandon of Manchester; two sisters, Peggy and Bobbie; 12 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 20 great-great grandchildren. Bean, Zora Elizabeth Parks, age 74, passed away on Saturday, August 31, 2013 at her home in the Rutledge Hill Community of Hillsboro surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Pelham, Tennessee to her parents, the late Edgar H. Parks and Nannie Elizabeth Rieder Parks and was also preceded in death by her brothers, Glen Parks, Jonas Parks and Charles Parks. Mrs. Bean will be fondly remembered as a loving and wonderful wife and mother and a devoted homemaker. Mrs. Bean played piano for over 64 years and was a Charter Member of the Heartfelt Gospel Music Association for 18 years. She was a member of the Payne’s Cove Congregational Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband, John William Bean of Hillsboro, TN; son, John Randy Bean of Tullahoma, TN; daughters, Martha Bean Thompson and her husband Larry of Quebeck, TN and Mary E. Bean Shelton and her husband Joey of Hillsboro, TN; sisters, Edna Parks and Emma Jean White both of Bowling Green, KY; brothers, David Parks and wife Betty of Orlando, FL and Frank Parks and wife Shirley of Willoughby, Ohio; seven grandchildren, Kelly Hall (Adam), Sandi Sidlowe (Bobby), William Thompson, Andrew Thompson, Elan Thompson, Erik Shelton and Lora Shelton; and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation was on Sunday evening, September 1, 2013 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM.
