Senior Justen Cooper gave up four runs, one earned, in four innings for the win. Peyton Meeker pitched three innings in relief and gave up three runs, all unearned. The Raiders committed three errors on the night.
Coffee County capitalized not only on 16 hits but on four fielding errors by the
Pioneers. Red Raiders with big nights at the plate included Jacob Prater (4 for 4, 3 runs), Meeker (2 for 3), Wyatt Day (2 for 3), Kyle Douglas (2 for 4 with an RBI), Tyler Cavender (2 hits, 3 RBI), and Stanton Keele (2 for 4).
The Raiders are now 11-22 overall and 6-5 in District 6-AAA. Coffee County plays Warren County again tomorrow, this time at McMinnville. If they win that contest, the Raiders will finish second in the district behind Cookeville.
After opening the season with seven staight losses, Coffee County is running the home stretch with wins in seven of its last 12 games.
