The body of Dustin Deadman,26, of  Hillsboro who has been missing and presumed drown since Monday, has been recovered from Tims Ford Reservoir in Franklin County.

According to the Estill Springs Police Chief Allen Rhodes, Deadman launched his boat with four young boys from the Estill Springs City Park for a day of fishing.

According to the chief, the boat got away from him and started to float out into the lake. The man attempted to swim out to the boat but went under and he did not resurface. The boys were able to get to shore and contacted family members who in turn called 911.

“The Franklin County and Coffee County Dive teams worked until 1 a.m. this morning and then returned this morning at 7:30 a.m. to resume the search,” Chief Rhodes stated Tuesday morning.

In addition to the divers, members of the Estill Springs Fire Department and the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department are assisting in the search.
