Turnovers sink Raiders at Lincoln County

Milton StanleyIf the Central High School Red Raiders were going to have a chance at Lincoln County Friday, they had to play flawless football. Instead they gave up six interceptions on the way to a 47-7 loss.

Coffee County quarterback Peyton Meeker threw interceptions in each of the Raiders’ first three possessions, and the Falcons capitalized each time, for three quick touchdowns in the first quarter.

Gavin Husted ran for Coffee County’s only touchdown.

The district loss dropped CHS to 0-8 overall and 0-4 in District 8-AAA.
