VOLLEYBALL ROUNDUP: CCHS Lady Raiders sweep Franklin County, advance to district semifinals

MANCHESTER, TN — It was three up, three down for the Coffee County Central High School volleyball, as the Lady Raiders picked up a victory over Franklin County in the quarterfinals of the District 8-AAA tournament.

Coffee County made quick work of the visiting Rebelettes Tuesday night — winning the match in three straight sets 25-9, 25-13, 25-16. The Lady Raiders advance to the semifinals of the district tournament, where they’ll be looking to pull an upset of Lincoln County on Thursday, Oct. 6 in Lawrenceburg. The Lady Falcons took both regular season matches from Coffee County.

Junior Alliyah Williams was unstoppable around the net, recording 14 of CCHS’ 47 kills on the night. Senior Bailey Morgan added 26 out of 35 big assists for the Lady Raiders, who are now 19-14 headed into Thursday’s semifinal match.
