All Creatures Veterinary Clinic in Manchester will hold a fundraising event for the Coffee County Animal Shelter on Sept. 20.

All Creatures Car Wash will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Sept. 20, at All Creatures Veterinary Clinic, according to Samantha Clark-Boyd, supervisor of the Coffee County Animal Shelter.

The clinic is located at 1567 McMinnville Hwy., Manchester.

All proceeds will be donated to Redemption Underdog Freedom Fund (RUFF).

The goal of the event is to help RUFF provide a better quality of life for animals in need.

“Redemption Underdog Freedom Fund is our (nonprofit) we created to sponsor the dogs of Coffee County Animal Control and spay and neuter for the community,” said Clark-Boyd. “All proceeds go to RUFF, and RUFF directly benefits the shelter,” she said.

She thanked All Creatures Veterinary Clinic for organizing the event and all volunteers for helping.

“All Creatures and members of RUFF and the community will volunteer for the event,” she said.

The Coffee County Animal Control needs a new building. The site is currently shared with Manchester City Animal Control, and its bad condition puts the animals there at risk of being hurt.

Last week, several dogs were injured at the Coffee County Animal Shelter.

The shelter was built in 1994 and a new building is needed to accommodate the growth of the county and the higher number of dogs that need shelter.
