Grundy County deputies have arrested Christopher Lyles, 33, and Charlotte Lame, 49, of Monteagle for possession of Schedule II drugs and possession of drugs for resale, according to the Grundy County Sheriff's Department.

Investigators believe the white pills come from a pill press and possibly laced with fentanyl.

Sheriff Clint Shrum says the two arrests are part of the investigation to determine the source of pills responsible for a series of overdoses and overdose deaths in April.

Lyles has outstanding warrants in Williamson County and is also charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, drug paraphernalia, evading arrest and resisting arrest.

Both are scheduled to appear in court Aug. 13, according to the Grundy County Sheriff's Department.
