The African savannah comes to life on the stage of the Manchester Arts Center with the opening of Disney’s “The Lion King Jr.”
Join Simba, Rafiki and an unforgettable cast of characters as they journey from Pride Rock to the jungle and back again, in this inspiring coming-of-age tale.
“The Lion King will run at the Manchester Arts Center on May 10, 11, 17, 18 at 7:30 p.m. and May 11 and 19 at 2 p.m., while a Saturday, May 18, 2 p.m. matinee will feature Millennium’s Homeschool Program cast, who will also be performing for area schools the week of May 13.
The Lion King, Jr. is based on the Disney film and stage play written by Elton John and Tim Rice, and is directed by Hope Petty and April Glosson-Smith, assisted by music director Kathy Damewood. The Wee Actors Guild is made up of students aged 12 and under.
