According to Duck River Electric Membership Corporation,  Tuesday morning’s severe thunderstorm left more than 4,000 DREMC members without power as heavy rain and strong winds swept through the area.
Outages are scattered across the DREMC area with Maury, Marshall, Bedford, and Coffee counties hit hardest.

DRMEC said that crews are continuing to assess the damage caused to the electric system and have quickly restored power to more than half of the members affected.

Power lines and trees are down making roadways dangerous; flash flooding is also a concern. Please drive safely as crews will be working in these areas to restore power. Thank you for your patience.
