Coffee County Central High School theater department will start the 2018-19 school year with its annual faculty show.
“Dearly Departed” is the third annual faculty show. It will star 14 faculty members and runs this weekend only.
“Dearly Departed,” written by David Bottrell and Jessie Jones. When the patriarch of the Turpin family keels over dead in the first scene, the struggle to get him buried involves the whole clan. “Dearly Departed” portrays the beleaguered Turpin family as it to set aside its differences for the funeral of its father, Bud. Their efforts prove chaotic and often hilarious, especially when joined by the gang of misfits who comprise their friends and family.
Show times are Friday and Saturday, Aug. 10, 11 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Aug. 12 at 2 p.m., plus a special after-school show on Monday, Aug. 13.
