Stuff the bus kick off

Peoples Bank and Trust Company and Coffee County Schools’ Family Resource Center gathered in Peoples Bank’s lobby Friday, June 7 to kick off the Stuff the Bus tour with a cheer.

“Stuff the bus! Stuff the bus! Stuff the bus!” Members of Peoples Bank and Trust Company and Coffee County Schools’ Family Resource Center gathered in Peoples Bank at 7:30 a.m. on Friday, June 7 to launch this year’s Stuff the Bus Tour with a cheer.

The bus will hit the road on Wednesday, July 17 to collect school supplies for all students in Coffee County.

The tour helps supply the Coffee County Student Expo, which will be held Saturday, July 27 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Coffee County Central High School.

The Stuff the Bus Tour and the Student Expo have helped nearly 3,000 students since its inception five years ago.

In 2018, the bus had 53 stops to local business that gathered and donated school supplies. Rayfield is looking to gather the following supplies: packets of No. 2 pencils, pens, crayons, colored pencils, wide ruled loose leaf paper, graph paper, 3x5 index cards, scissors, glue, dividers, composition notebooks, spiral notebooks, folders with prongs and three ring binders.

Sign up by contacting Coffee County Family Resource Center Coordinator Taylor Rayfield rayfieldt@k12coffee.net, or calling him at (931) 222-1066. Monetary contributions can also be made.
