Located just down the road, Tims Ford State Parks cabins provide a getaway while offering the convenience of being local.

Tims cabins are a cheap alternative for a family vacation. Find one of the 20 rustic cabins, each with two bedrooms and one bath, just above the lake. They house 6-8 people and four of the cabins are pet friendly.

Save money by cooking in a full kitchen, complete with a range, microwave full-sized fridge, utensils coffee maker and an outdoor charcoal grill.

Each cabin has a seasonal gas fireplace, a balcony and TV with 12 channels of DirectTV.

While at Tims Ford State Park, enjoy activities like a Jack Nicklaus-designed gold course, 22 miles of paved bicycling trails plus 6.5 miles of unpaved trails that run along the hills and coves of Tims Ford shore line.

Low cost

Weekday rates for a cabin rental is naturally the best value, at $156.94 per night including tax.

Weekends, Friday and Saturday nights are still a reasonable $191.81 per night and the peak rate is $191.81 per night.

Guests receive half price admission to the pool, $2.50 per person. The pool is open until Labor Day. Children two and under are free.
