Eat to Earn supports local veterans association

General Manager of Jefferson’s Restaurant Theresa Crossland, left, and Kellan Rees, discuss the event set for Jan. 21.

Theresa Crossland, general manager of Jefferson’s Restaurant in Manchester, encourages locals to visit the eatery Jan. 21 and support the Coffee County Veterans Association (CCVA).

This event is possible thanks to the Eat to Earn initiative of the restaurant.

“We have found this to be a very easy way to earn money for schools, teams, churches,” Crossland said.

By partnering with the restaurant for Eat to Earn, CCVA will receive 15% of the sales after 4 p.m. on Jan. 21.

Customers should simply let their server know, said Crossland.

“We would mark each receipt from each customer that is there to support (the) group, add up the total sales and give your group 15% of those sales,” Crossland said.

Kimberly King with the Coffee County Veterans Association thanked the restaurant and the community for the opportunity.

“We appreciate, always, anything you all do to help our association,” King said. “The association is comprised of the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 90, American Legion Gold Post 78 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10904 and their Auxiliaries.

“We hope to see you all there on Tuesday, Jan. 21,” King said. “Please remember to tell your server you are there for the Veterans and please help us pass the word.”

Jefferson’s Restaurant is located at 138 Relco Drive in Manchester.
