Mark Vann

Dr. Mark Vann

Mark Vann has been in medicine for most all of his adult life. Now, nearly 32 years after starting his career in the respiratory field and 28 years after graduating nursing school, he has opened his own clinic in Manchester.

Woodland Wellness, located at 115 N. Woodland Street in Manchester, is now open and accepting new patients. Vann, a nurse practitioner for the past nine years, is an owner of the business. It operates under the supervision of Dr. Al Brandon.

“This is something I’ve always wanted to do and this opportunity has presented itself,” said Vann, who has worked at different doctors’ offices and hospitals in the region over the past 30 years, building a strong patient base. “I spent some time at both hospitals in town, I was with Dr. (Jay) Trussler for about four years and then in Winchester for about four years. I’ve been fortunate to work with some good people.

“We already had the ultra sound business (Sweet Pea) in the same building before, so we owned the building and this made a lot of sense to open our own clinic.”

Vann and staff will be in the building five days a week starting May 1 – operating from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

“It is a primary care, family-practice,” explained Vann. “I will also do some minor suturing and we do have an in-house ultrasound, as well as some other things.”

Woodland Wellness is accepting new patients and can be reached at 931-954-5219.
