Locals can now shop at Walgreen without entering the store. The company is offering drive-thru shopping to help maintain social distancing during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Walgreens announced that the drive-thru service, which is usually available for prescription pick-up and drop off, will now be available for shoppers to buy more items.
“As the situation evolves quickly, we are updating our store hours and taking extra measures to help provide a clean and safe environment for our customers and employees,” the company announced. “We’ve also added a seniors-only shopping hour, 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. every Tuesday.”
Customers can pull up and ask for certain, small items, and employees will assemble the order and get it back to the customer.
This service is available only when the pharmacy is open. The pharmacy in Manchester is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday; from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday; and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.
