Active cases have increased. The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases is 545, as of Aug. 9, according to the department of health. The active cases are 321, and 221 people have recovered. Three deaths have been reported in Coffee County.
The active cases are 0.57% of the population. When the percentage reached 0.5%, Coffee County, Manchester and Tullahoma Schools announced they would be moving to hybrid schedules. If the active cases reach 1% of the population (of 56,500 people), the schools plan to move to distance learning, with no students in the school buildings.
