Franklin County has had one person die from complications related to the coronavirus, according to information provided by Southern Tennessee Regional Health System-Winchester/Sewanee.
Abby Pickett, marketing and communications coordinator, confirmed on Thursday that a death had occurred at the Winchester facility.
She said, due to patient privacy laws, no further details could be released.
The total deaths from the disease in Tennessee, listed by the Tennessee Department of Health, was at 24 on Wednesday with seven deaths reported in Sumner County, four in Davidson, three in Shelby, two each in Williamson and Hamilton counties and one each in Knox, Marion, Rutherford, Greene and Trousdale counties. In addition, one non-Tennessee resident had passed away.
