The spring season has been canceled, according to the Coffee County Soccer Board.
The board met to discuss about the spring season earlier this week.
“After a long discussion we regretfully decided to cancel the Spring season giving the uncertainty of this virus,” the Coffee County Soccer League said on Facebook. “Those of you who wish to play in the fall can easily transfer your payment with no additional fee. If state fees increase you would be protected from paying additional cost.”
Refunds will be offered.
“If you wish for a refund, please contact us,” Coffee County Soccer League stated. “It is unfortunate that we have to cancel; however, we are all looking forward to a wonderful fall season.”
The organization is considering a summer league.
In March, the beginning of the spring season was postponed until May 9.
“All dates and timelines can be adjusted as things evolve,” said Danielle FitzPatrick with the Coffee County Soccer League in March.
