As chairman of the Coffee County Veterans Association (CCVA) and on behalf of my fellow veterans and their families, we wish to convey our sincere thanks to the Manchester Times for your continual support of our veterans’ activities.

Our Association represents the local posts for the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Disabled American Veterans, American Legion, and their associated Auxiliaries.

The Associations all provide aid and assistance to veterans as well and their families. We strive to educate the public on matters dealing with patriotism and veterans. We recognize and honor all patriotic holidays as well as those who have served and who were lost.  Additionally we are very active in the community providing assistance and awards to schools, teachers, students, and many charitable organizations.

Our next large event will be the Vietnam-Era Veterans Honors Day and Fair held on March 30 at the Coffee County Fairgrounds.  The event has three goals in mind: to educate the public, to honor the Vietnam-era veterans both living and deceased and to entertain all who attend.  This event is free and open to the public.  Please know that our association and the organizations individually do not solicit funds. We do accept donations.

Again we want to thank you at the Manchester Times for your unwavering support of our veterans programs throughout the year.
