Manchester Police Department has completed an internal investigation after a city employee filed a complaint against Manchester Police Department Chief Mark Yother. At this point, the city has not made a decision if there will be any repercussions for Yother regarding this investigation.
However, Manchester City Mayor Lonnie Norman has suspended Yother for another, unrelated incident.
Yother was seen acting inappropriately with a former city elected official at the gazebo near the police department and in front of MPD employees and the public, according to a Manchester City employee.
Norman suspended Yother for two days for this incident.
“I was made aware of that situation in October, and suspended Chief Yother for two days so it would not occur again,” Norman said.
