Child Care

A nonprofit organization, Coffee County Child Care Center has served local families for decades, offering “quality child care in a secure facility at affordable rates,” according to Chairman Travis Reed.

Coffee County Child Care Center has served families for decades thanks to the support of the community.

Garner’s Furniture and Appliance recently made a donation to the center.

A nonprofit organization, the center offers “quality child care in a secure facility at affordable rates,” said Chairman Travis Reed.

“I’m the chairman of the board of directors,” he said. “I also attended the center as a child.”

“We participate in the state food program and provide breakfast, lunch and snacks to our children.”

Board members organize various activities to raise money for the nonprofit.

“The center is a nonprofit organization, funded by tuition and fundraisers, with some state and local assistance,” Reed said. “We also receive donations from time to time.”

Reed expressed gratitude for the support of the community.

“Recently, our range quit working,” Reed said. “I reached out to local business to see if anyone could help.”

Garner’s Furniture and Appliance immediately wanted to help the children, said Reed.

“They even offered to us our choice of color and delivery,” Reed said. “Garner’s is a third generation local business that started in 1960.

“Many homes in Coffee County bear furniture and appliances bought from Garner’s over the years. They donated a brand new Frigidaire electric range – white to match our other appliances.”

Reed encouraged locals to learn about the center and take part in fundraising events.

“The community can support Coffee County Child Care Center through donations as well as participating in our fundraisers,” Reed said.

“The community can trust that Coffee County Child Care Center provides quality child care with the latest security available,” he said. “We received three stars (the maximum) from the State of Tennessee.”

That means the child care provider has achieved the highest quality standards and provides child care at the highest standard.

“We have a facial recognition-electromagnetic locking system to insure only authorized people may enter the center. Employees are vetted through background checks, fingerprinting and drug screening,” Reed said.

Coffee County Child Care Center is located at 707 Oak Dr., Manchester.
