FOP carnival

The carnival is in town! The Fraternal Order of Police is hosting its annual carnival this week, which serves as a fundraiser for the FOP. 

It can be found in the parking lot of the Southern Family Markets building, 2050 Hillsboro Boulevard, located next to Family Video. 

Rides open on Wednesday, May 15 through Friday, May 17 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. The final day, Saturday, May 18, will run from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. 

David Larkee of Sheridan Amusements, the event vendor, explained admission is free, but rides require tickets. 

Ticket prices:

  • One ticket for $1.25
  • 10 tickets for $12
  • 20 tickets for $22 
  • Wristband for unlimited rides is $20

Attractions include kiddie rides, the Zipper for thrill seekers, and family rides, such as a Tilt-O-Whirl or a merry-go-round. Food and drinks are available onsite as well. 

Sheridan Amusements is based out of Wisconsin.
