The Middle School Red Raider volleyball team defeated Warren County in two sets on Sept. 14. The Red Raiders had visited Warren County earlier in the year and came away with a victory. The team started with an ace courtesy of Tiffany Lamb who would then help facilitate her team’s next three scores.
Warren had no such early success as the team was unable to score multiple points per server until the fourth player rotated in. The Red Raiders were able to cruise into a five point lead that was exasperated by a quick four points by Lamb when the serve order rotated back. This left a clean mop up exercise for the Lady Raiders as they cruised into the second set with a 25-18 victory.
The second set was a rout as Danni Hillis facilitated 10 points for her team alone. Lamb kept her strong start from the first set as she facilitated six points for the Lady Raiders. Warren’s offensive woes continued in the second set as the team was only able to score 17 points. This netted the Red Raiders a 25-17 victory and the match.
