South Eastern Academy FC recently punched its ticket to compete on the national stage. The local soccer team took third place in the Alabama State Games and qualified for the State Games of America tournament in Lynchburg, Va.
The team is composed of players from Manchester, Tullahoma and Winchester. SEA competed in the U13/14 Blue Division and finished with a record of 3-1 in the Alabama tournament from June 7-9.
The boys opened with a 2-0 loss, but bounced back with 6-2 and 8-1 victories. The team won their final match 2-0 to close the competition.
The State Games of America Tournament will be held from August 2-4.
