Benedict Edinger's postseason run came to a close Monday May, 13, at the region singles/doubles tournament in Murfreesboro. Edinger fell in straight sets to Siegel's Hussen Malik in a 0-2 match loss.
In the first set, Edinger picked up two games but couldn't add another in a 2-6 defeat. He was unable to find another win and fell 0-6 in the second.
The region tournament wrapped up a remarkable postseason for Edinger, who was the District 8-AAA singles champion and was named the district MVP.
Edinger helped lead the CHS boys' team to an undefeated regular-season record and contributed to the Red Raiders winning the team district title.
