Central High School cross country traveled to the Hermitage on Saturday, August 31, to compete in the Voyles Classic. The event featured teams from across Middle Tennessee, with more than 1,200 runners in attendance. 

In the AAA Division, the CHS boys' team took 13th place out of 28 teams. Jacob Rutledge led the Red Raiders with a 26th-place finish at a time of 17:20. In the boys' junior varsity race, Jacob Slabaugh led CHS in 87th place at 21:09. 

On the girls' side, the Lady Raiders did not have enough runners to place as a team. Patricia Barrera led CHS's individual results with a 67th-place finish at a time of 22:19.
