Central High School volleyball entered the region tournament on Tuesday, October 15, hoping to get through its Murfreesboro opponents for the first time. Unfortunately, that goal was not accomplished this time around.

The district tournament-champion Lady Raiders fell 0-3 to Blackman in the Region 4-AAA tournament at Siegel High School. The loss also brought the team's 2019 season to a close.

CHS lost the first set 6-25. A much closer second set followed, but the Lady Raiders fell 19-25. In the third, Blackman again held on for a dominant double-digit win and defeated CHS 10-25 to seal the three-set sweep.

The team finished with six aces, with three each from Abigail Parker and Keri Munn. Lexi Bryan led the kills category with five out of 12.

Amanda Mukai led the team in assists with six out of nine, with Keelie Hillis on the other three. Out of 16 digs, Parker and Kiya Ferrell recorded four each.

Following the match, Hillis and Bryan were named to the Region 4-AAA All-Region team.
