Central High School wrestling was back on the mat Saturday to finish off a busy stretch of road matches. Splitting the day between two different tournaments, Lady Raiders MaryAnne Walker and Mary Wolfrum competed in the Middle Tennessee Wrestling Officials Association Grand Championships at McGavock High School in Nashville. Walker picked up a first-place finish.

The boys' team traveled to St. Andrew's-Sewanee for the Mountain Top Invitational, picking up two first-place finishes from Rey Reyes and Brett Francis.

In the girls' competition, Wolfrum fell to Tullahoma's Kaleigh Royal in a 9-2 decision. Wolfrum was eliminated in her following match. After earning a first-round bye, Walker picked up two wins by pin on the way to a tournament victory.

At St. Andrew's, the Red Raiders earned a fourth-place team finish overall, with seven medals total for the team. Capped off by Reyes and Francis's first-place finishes, Jesse Smith followed with a third-place finish in his weight class. Gavin Prater, Zack Bush, Christopher Speagle and Cardin Stump all earned fourth-place finishes on the day. Reyes also received a best match trophy in addition to first place.
