Jacob prepares to hit off a shot against Cannon County on Jan. 7. Holder and Hayden Garr helped advance Coffee Middle to the CTC Tournament second round after a big win over North Franklin Monday night. 

Coffee County Middle School boys' basketball kicked off postseason play Monday night at Tullahoma High School. Starting the Central Tennessee Conference Tournament against North Franklin Middle, the Red Raiders moved on with a 30-10 victory over the Gators. 

North took an early 2-0 lead before the Raiders took control. After going up 7-2 through the first quarter, CMS increased their lead to 16-3 at halftime, holding the Gators to a free throw in the second quarter. 

The Raiders added another 14 points in the second half, while North was limited to seven in the fourth quarter after going scoreless in the third. 

Hayden Garr and Jacob Holder led the way for CMS with 10 points each. Dayne Crosslin followed with five. Jackson Shemwell finished with three, just ahead of Ethan Farrar's two.
