Central High School boys’ basketball may be in its offseason, but that didn’t stop a pair of players from making noise in June. Jaylon Wooten and Kyle Farless both attended events to raise their profiles ahead of the 2019-20 season.
Wooten was selected to play in the Prep Hoops Tennessee Summer Combine All-Star Game. The game was held on Saturday, June 22.
Kyle Farless attended the Southeast Basketball Showcase at the University of West Georgia on Saturday, June 15. At the showcase, Farless was evaluated by several collegiate coaches and given a 95 overall rating.
Wooten and Farless were productive for CHS during the team’s 2019 summer scrimmage schedule. In the team’s final scrimmage game against Fayetteville on Thursday, June 20, Wooten led the Raiders with 13 points in front of the home fans at Joe Frank Patch Gymnasium. Farless followed right behind with 10.
Wooten is a rising senior at CHS and Farless is a rising junior.
