Middle School Raiders hammer Harris

Addi Sartain, shown in action earlier this year, helped the Coffee Middle School Raiders get a measure of revenge against Harris this past week as they beat the visitors, 25-19.

Harris didn’t know what hit them as the Coffee County Middle School Raiders handed them a pair of losses this past week.

The boys’ boat raced the Harris squad, topping the visitors, 60-29. The Raiders were led to victory by Cooper Reed who had 19 points in the middle school win while Evan Kirby and Ethan Hargrave both made the double digit club, scoring 12 apiece, the trio accounting for two-thirds of the Raider scoring. The Raiders led the game 31-9 at the half and never looked back as they padded their lead in the second half.

The girls win was revenge of sorts as they had lost an earlier meeting to Harris Middle. The Lady Raiders were able to atone with a 25-19 win thanks to an 11-point showing by Taylor Anthony. Ava McIntosh took runner up scoring honors with six on the night.
