Coffee County Golf

The Coffee County High School golf team took first place at the Lawrenceburg Invitational Monday, July 30.

Coffee County Central High School's golf team stayed hot on Monday (July 30), carding a 315 to beat eight other teams and take first place in the Lawrenceburg Invitational.

Senior Samuel Prater once again led the way for Coffee County, shooting a 4-over par 75 – tying for second place individually. Red Raider Austin Farris shot a 78, while Josh Perry and Matthew Hale each carded a 10-over 81. Chase Hancock shot an 84 on the day.

“I thought we played pretty well overall considering we went into this course blind,” said CHS head coach Mike Ray. “None of our kids have every played here before so they didn’t really know what to expect when they got here. So considering that I’m pretty proud and it’s always great to be able to bring home some hardware.”
