The weather may have shortened the match to nine holes, but the Red Raiders struck lightning of their own Thursday in Lawrenceburg.
Coffee County finished ahead of Marshall County and Giles County by over 40 strokes each in their final regular season match.
Seniors Samuel Prater and Austin Farris both shot a 1 over par-37. Fellow seniors Matthew Hale and Josh Perry came in one stroke behind, shooting a 38 each.
"I'm very pleased with how we played today," Coach Mike Ray said. "We have a good feel for the course and I'm excited about our chances on Monday at the district championship."
Thursday's win puts Coffee County at 62-5, finishing the best regular season in team history. The Red Raiders return to Lawrenceburg Monday for the district championship.
